Course Objectives
Ride Smart Motorcycle Training is an approved registered service provider
for Q-Ride training . Q-Ride is a Road Safety Initiative of the
Queensland Transport. The benefits are-
1) You are assessed whilst you are being trained.
2) The 6 month waiting period on the motorcycle learners permit is
bypassed with the Q-Ride Course.
We cater for all levels from the absolute beginner to the more experienced
riders. Our courses are developed to provide participants with the
skills, knowledge and attitude to effectively ride a motorcycle safely and
in accordance with the current road rules. It includes enjoyable
theory and practical sessions on daily motorcycle safety checks,
maintenance and setup, off and on road riding , defensive techniques
and applying road craft to everyday riding situations. On completion of
the course you will be issued with a Q-Ride certificate. This is not a
licence, it must be presented at Queensland Transport to be endorsed on
your licence at no additional cost.
Eligibility.
Re (250cc) motorbike training - you must hold a current RE learner
licence and also have held a car licence for a minimum of 12 months..
R (Over 250cc) training -
You must hold a Re provisional or open licence for at least 1 year.

Experienced Riders Course
(up to 6hrs)

Designed for experienced riders of average ability who wish to obtain
their licence and hone their riding skills. It includes theory, off
road and on road riding.
Intermediate
Riders Course (up to 8 1/2hrs)

This course
is designed for riders who ride regularly off road and have limited or
no road experience or Riders who haven't ridden for a few years, but
still have above average skills.
Beginner Riders Course
(up to 15hrs)

The course maybe completed in
less time, depending on your abilities.
Designed for riders with little or no riding experience, learn the
essential elements of safe motorcycle operation, with plenty of open
discussion, skills video, hands on instruction and fun in a low stress setting that
contributes to a confident and capable rider.

This course is designed for those who have their licence but wish to
update their skills.
What we supply
Motorcycles, helmet, eye protection and gloves.
Limited snacks and drinks.
What you need to bring.
1) You must carry the appropriate licence/learner's licence at all times.
2) The correct clothing must be worn including a long shirt/jacket and
trousers of a thick, strong material and fully enclosed shoes or
boots, preferably covering the ankles.
3) Your lunch and drinks.
